Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Darby Barfield – Pediatric Dentist, Louisville clinic

Dr. Darby Barfield joined Dental Aid in September of 2003. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She received her dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHC). Dr. Barfield treats children in Dental Aid’s Louisville clinic two days per week. In addition, Dr. Barfield treats children under general anesthesia at CHC on Wednesdays. Email

Dr. Wayne Franz graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1979. After receiving his dental degree he practiced in the U.S. Army for four years. Dr. Franz then opened his own practice in Louisville CO. Dr. Franz joined Dental Aid in 2011. He sees patients three days per week in Dental Aid’s Longmont clinic. Email

 

Dr. Talbot Fucci – General Dentist, Louisville clinic

Dr. Talbot Fucci joined Dental Aid in September 2017.  Dr. Fucci received his degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, Dr. Fucci was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, dentistry’s national honor society.  Before working in private practice, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Fucci treats patients of all ages in Dental Aid’s Louisville clinic four days per week. Email

 

Dr. Joseph Harberg – General Dentist, Boulder & Longmont clinics

Dr. Joseph Harberg joined Dental Aid in September 2017.  Dr. Harberg received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.  While in dental school, Dr. Harberg completed several externships serving high risk populations including the Salud Family Health Centers. Dr. Harberg practices two days per week in Dental Aid’s Boulder clinic, and two days a week in the Longmont clinic.  Email

Dr. Joy Hicks joined Dental Aid in April of 2014. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Oral Medicine, receiving her DMD in 2010. Dr. Hicks followed dental school with a General Practice Residency. She completed the residency in 2011. Dr. Hicks practiced for three years before joining Dental Aid. Email

Dr. Jose Mena graduated from Tufts School of Oral Medicine in Boston. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a two-year dental residency in General Dentistry in Louisiana. Dr. Mena joined Dental Aid in August of 2006. Dr. Mena practices four days per week in Dental Aid’s Boulder clinic. Email

Dr. James Monk – General Dentist, Longmont & Louisville clinics

Dr. Jim Monk received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Monk worked for Dental Aid from 1984 through 1987 while building his own private practice. Dr. Monk provided services through his private practice in Boulder for 29 years. Dr. Monk rejoined Dental Aid in 2014. He also is a Member of the State Board for the Dentists Liability Trust representing the Boulder/Broomfield Dental Association. Email

 

Dr. Robert Skoretz Surgical Treatments, Louisville clinic

Dr. Skoretz joined DentalAid in 2018. He received his doctorate of dental medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1994.  Prior to joining Dental Aid, he was in private practice for over 20 years, and served as an Assistant Professor and the Director of General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Dental School, Anshutz Medical Campus, Aurora, Colorado.  Email

Ana Andrick, RDH, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hygiene at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1997. Ana brought her 15 years of clinical experience to Dental Aid in 2013. Ana now serves Dental Aid patients in our Longmont clinic. Email

Eve Beaumont – Boulder clinic

Eve Beaumont, RDH, joined Dental Aid on September 30, 2015. Eve received her degree from Lewis and Clark Community College in December of 2014. She has supplemented her degree with clinical hours in a variety of settings including the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in St. Louis. Email

 

 

Amanda Carlson – Louisville clinic and Boulder Valley School District outreach

Amanda Carlson, RDH, joined Dental Aid in September 2017 after moving from Illinois.  Amanda received her degree from Southern Illinois University in May 2013.  While in school, she was on the Dean’s List and specifically treated patients with periodontal disease. Amanda splits her time between Dental Aid’s outreach program to the Boulder Valley School District and the Louisville clinic.  Email

 

Maliheh Jabbari Community based

Maliheh Jabbari, RDH, received her certificate in dental hygiene from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in 1998, and an associate’s degree from Boston’s Northeastern University the same year.  Maliheh’s professional and gentle approach is one of the reasons patients of all ages—toddlers to seniors – benefit from her care.  Email

Junia Klatt, RDH, graduated from Argosy University of Health Sciences in 2011. Junia joined Dental Aid in early 2013. Junia has been providing excellent care to Dental Aid patients since that time and cares for Dental Aid patients in the Louisville clinic. Email

 

 

Lauren Woodson – Louisville clinic

Lauren WoodsonRDH, joined Dental Aid in 2018 and currently works out of the Louisville Clinic. She received her degree from Lewis and Clark Community College in 2014. Lauren is committed to promoting optimum oral hygiene and takes pride in sharing her expertise as she cares for her patients.  Email

 

 

Dental Aid Administration

Ernest (Ernie) – Executive Director

Ernie joined Dental in September 2018. Duff brings a wealth of experience to the position, including serving as the Executive Director of Denver’s  Howard Dental Center and the Rocky Mountain Survivors Center.  Additionally, he was the Executive Director of the Life After Exoneration Program in Berkeley, CA.  Duff has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Divinity. Christina Carrier – Finance Director

Christina Carrier joined Dental Aid in 2018 after holding positions of increasing responsibility at Botanical Interests.  These positions included payroll, accounts payable and receivable, cash management and financial reporting.  Carrier’s career experience also includes various accounting positions with Longmont Housing Authority and the City of Loveland.  She received her Master’s in Professional Accounting from Colorado State University-Fort Collins and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.  Email
